Here's more from Susun about it:
There are many groups on the internet to discuss herbs and essential oils. This forum is specifically about Susun Weeds teachings. We simply do not want there to be a discussion promoting something Susun is against the use of. That would give the wrong message to readers, and confuse some people.
You are all free to private message each other about essential oils and your experiences with them.
Essential oils are the same constituents found in the same plants or foods they are derived from, only stronger not dissimilar from herbal infusions or extractions, but in many cases they are more pure because if they're cold-pressed they don't go through heat or have alcohol as a solvent etc. depending on which essential oil you get. just as you'd use herbs wisely you want to use essential oils wisely as well and if one is to be told not to use essential oils because there are complaints about their constituents then they should be told not to use the whole plant or herbal extraction formulas of it either! her stance just not make sense and yes as you say Allie there are many places to discuss essential oils online because they are worth using. I have seen endless studies about their usefulness and amazing ability to heal so I just think Susun has not researched the subject properly and is confused with the misinformation she is citing on the link you provided. I also think it is quite obvious that consuming anything from an animal such as its milk or butter is obviously toxic yet Susun recommends that and then has an issue with natural plant volatile oils, or the essential spirit of the plant, being used.. I'm bewildered and saddened and wish this forum was more open to factual information being shared whether it agrees with Susun's apparent limited knowledge about the subject or offers exploration of it.. I think a wise woman would choose to be open to exploration and further learning and correction if it is merited. I understand if this forum is not meant for actual wise women discussion and you must censor my post or ban me even but I just think it's unfortunate and nonsense to continue being blunt..
and the company she does recommend Kuumba made uses toxic ingredients in some of their preparations! and sells brightly colored glitter in addition.. I hardly think this is a superior option to pure essential oils used wisely.. what a shame
