The internet is full of "ways to shrink your fibroids naturally," but I trust this board more for actual experiences than I do the general internet, especially if sites giving information are also selling products. Its hard to filter through all that stuff, and I have a rather limited income between grad school and only having seasonal work, so dont want to blow a lot of money on supplements/"cures" that dont work.
Of what I have read, what sticks out to me are 1. Pau D'Arco tincture (though dont even know where I would get it...I live in Ireland), 2. iodine supplementation, and 3. internal/oral use or vaginal use of frankincense essential oil (though I know this board doesnt really condone use of EO's if I remember correctly. (I havent been on the forum in a while, since before the new forum came). And maybe ACV which is supposed to break down calcified fibroids in case mine is calcified (they didnt say). I detest vinegar tho :/ Also wondering about enzymes taken on an empty stomach as I know this is supposed to help with carrying off internal scar tissue from injuries etc, not sure if it would work with the fibroids too or not? And not sure if enzymes is even appropriate for discussion here as I know its not herbs.
Basically I'm trying to put together an action plan....my GP is waiting to hear back from me about if I want a referral to an ob/gyn which she recommends, but at the end of the day i dont really see the point, as the GP told me that the 3 options are basically do nothing, meds, or surgery and i dont want to do any of the three. Apparently if I get on the public waiting list I can have the appointment for free in 3-6 months..might be a good opportunity to see if I can shrink it and then request another ultrasound in the appointment to see if its shrunk between now and then.
Suggestions appreciated. I feel like I am already doing most of the dietary recommendations as I eat plant-based, usually with only minimal refined foods, and very little processed sugar, and have for a number of years, though I do diverge from the wholefoods bit on various occasions, but I always eat plant-based/vegan. And yet I still got the fibroid :/
