Any herbal cure for dry eyes?

Hello ladies. I have been diagnosed with dry eye recently. It could be because of my excessive use of computers. But I cannot help it as my job demands it. But I would like to go for some natural remedies for dry eyes. Is there any herbal cure for dry eyes? Please suggest.

Are your eyes irritated? Do you think any kind of allergies could be contributing to the dryness?

I know chickweed can be used as a poultice on eyes that are irritated and infected.

And I would think any herbs that support the health of the mucous membranes and such might be helpful here? Especially Oat Straw infusion?

But that's more of a guess, not something I have first hand knowledge of!

@ Herbnut Have you tried herbal eye wash? Is it effective for dry eyes? I have heard that it is good for eye health but I am not sure whether it could heal dry eyes.

I am using coconut oil. It is working very well. My dry eye has gone. I started putting 1 drop in each eye but found that too much liquid, so now I dab oil along my eye lids. Google it - that's where I go my info. I can't remember the website now.

I use coconut oil for so many things.

There are eye-wash formulas for cataracts and pink eye, so why not swap in moistening herbs.

i had itchy eyes from few days. I have started taking milk and it better now. someone told me, milk reduce dryness in you.
