Re: Poison ivy/oak/sumac

It's been 2 weeks and I'm just, hopefully, finishing up with it. I'm not allergic to poison ivy. It turns out that I am allergic to poison oak. The rash wasn't too bad - the itchy spots itches terribly but it was quite mild. Even the rash that covered my face and neck didn't get bubbly and leaky (th...

Is that normal? And is that why you mostly see directions for fresh tincture while you're picking it? I've come...

I don't get poison ivy, creeper's just a pretty but invasive vine and I had no idea if I was allergic to poison oak or not. It turns out that I am. The rash isn't too bad - the systemic swelling ...

Yeah, me too.

Oh, and that much nettle can be quite diuretic. Just a friendly tip. :)

Re: Preventing/Easing Immune Reaction to Dog Dander - Method

The first thought that comes to mind is take an OTC allergy medication the next time you need to dog sit and see if that helps. Did you have any actual physical reaction and if so, what? (Like itchy eyes, runny nose, hives, ect - allergy symptoms) And the above would only be if you did. Nettle is an...

Re: question about Comfrey

From what I've read - all of the deaths involved with comfrey use had to do with improper dosages of the root - not the aerial parts.

R Gladstar and P Bergner have some excellent write ups. SW has several videos and quite a few articles about it.

Re: muscles after exercise

Extra fluids and long slow stretches. It's lactic acid (or something that sounds like that) that causes the sore and stiffness. It's easily flushed out of your system if you start preparing for it before it sets in. Keep your muscles warm and your blood pumping for a few hours after exercising with ...
