Re: Food as Medicine In the Battle
I finally found my notes on the herbal infusions I had been hoping to use while going through chemo (2012). They were 'hidden' in plain sight...lol My list of possible herbs included Oatstraw, Red Clover, Astragalus, Burdock, Dandelion, Slippery Elm, Horsetail (for mouth and gums), Pau d arco. Easy ...

Re: Red Sauerkraut
My experience with sauerkraut...and other ferments...is that its okay to add a bit of salted water to the vegetables. I have a Beet (shredded) ferment going and I've had to add salted water a couple times because the veggies keep absorbing the liquid.

Re: HERBAL GARDENS
When it comes to medicinal plants I like that they tell me where they want to be (they will refuse to thrive otherwise). My husband also dictates where my herbs are 'allowed'....the newest part of the garden has been declared "herb free" (his words :D ) Our garden is expanded each year par...

Re: What herbal projects are you working on this Fall?
bluebirdmama...tough decision, I would probably leave the Echinacea... figuring that should I need it I could dig it and use it in tea form. I also dug Valerian, found some while hiking, dug it and placed it in a bag which I tied to my backpack, it wasn't but a few minutes that I recalled Michael Mo...
