Ugh. Yeast Infection?
There doesn't seem to be a thread on this yet ... Has anyone had success with natural remedies? I'm trying a few things I found online, including internal garlic, but the second day is worse than the first. Alternately if anyone uses the over-the-counter suppositories could you recommend a brand? Ar...

Traveling with Tinctures
I guess I haven't been on many planes since I began taking herbal medicines, as I find myself a bit at bay in preparing for a flight. According to their website, the TSA allows "small amounts of liquids" in the three ounce capacity in carry-ons. Some of my tinctures were in four ounce bott...

Re: WHAT TO USE FOR CLEANING
I use vinegar for everything, and baking soda to add abrasion … I've come to love the smell as I associate it with a freshly-cleaned apartment. I too stopped using essential oils and miss them less than I expected. In fact, the smells seem rather overwhelming after being away from them. Though I do ...

Re: My Miniature Herb Garden
Mmm … Interesting. Well, I'm glad someone else has tinctured from the tiny plant kingdom.
I was growing directly in the soil until I learned it had lead … It was quite interesting to witness how less willing plants are to grown in containers.

Non-Internal Uses for Witch Hazel and Black Haw Bark?
I bought these dried herbs for infusions based on something I read, but I am now going a different direction with the guidance of an herbalist. They have been sitting in the closet for a year and I'm wondering if there is something else I could do with them?
Any insight appreciated; thank you~

How Do Wise Women Clean Their Ears?
That is the whole question. I've tried two things I found online—drops of warm oil and salt water—but neither was effective.

My Miniature Herb Garden
I made a foray into container gardening this year. While the seeds came up, they mostly did not grow more than a few inches. I still made tinctures from my feverfew, lemon balm, and motherwort in September, though they never flowered. I am attaching some pictures of the herbs here; you can see they ...
