Re: Relationship with Mother
My mother and I no longer speak. It's a long story, but I had to cut ties for my own mental health as well as for the safety of my son. My question is, how can I move past this? Every holiday or birthday makes me shudder at the prospect of having of talking to her. Sometimes people need to cut ties...

Re: Hot Infusions-Cold Infusions
Well, silly me. I have the Bairacli Levy book too, but it's been too long since I've been looking at my books for new ideas - I've just been doing what I'm used to. So, time to go back and learn some new techniques.

Re: Hot Infusions-Cold Infusions
I haven't made cold infusions and I have James Green's book! So I am surprised. I have generally prepared burdock and nettle with vinegar in any case (part of my daily tonic).
So this tells me I need to go back and have another tug at that book. Thanks!

Re: post menapause bleeding
Thanks for the update! It sounds as if it went OK overall and I hope the bleeding stops. I found these definitions for a fibroid and a cyst: Fibroids, also known as uterine myomas, leiomyomas, or fibromas, are firm, compact tumors that are made of smooth muscle cells and fibrous connective tissue th...

Re: Tea
That probably depends on the herb. But people do make "sun tea" without boiling water, so it might work. I know that I prefer to pour the water over the herb rather than dunk the herb, because it brings out the taste better in my opinion (the extra pressure of the water on the herb). But a...

Have you looked into any kind of physical therapy? Beside the acupuncture, I mean. Just a thought.

Re: Chrysanthemum Infusion ?
I haven't used chrysanthemum, so I did some googling - problem is that it isn't always clear whether the articles are using the word "infusion" to mean something stronger than tea, or just referring to the fact that the herb is steeped in hot water. And I haven't run across it in my books....

I've used meadowsweet in a tincture with white willow bark, but maybe now I will try the infusion!

Re: Seeking wise women in Washington State
Welcome Ksowers! Yes, we are pretty quiet here - I think Facebook has taken over the world, so for those of us who refuse to be on there, it is tough. I am across the country from you, sorry.... As far as education/certificates, though, I do know someone who just did a very long intense graduate pro...
