Re: Herbal Anti-Inflammatories

I . I know a woman who makes tumeric/honey balls (like we do with slippery elm bark) to get her daily dose of tumeric. There's a line of thinking that CFS and FM are different extremes of the same illness. CFS main symptom is exhaustion followed by widespread pain and FMS main symptom is widespread ...

Re: Yule!

I'll be celebrating with my family. We'll feast from Yule to Christmas.

I am so looking forward to the return of the Light this year.

Re: TSH results

You can try pink Himalayan salt. Whatever the mineral is that makes it pink is good for the thyroid. If I remember correctly, certain seaweeds are also very good for this. If you start the synthroid - you'll most likely be on it for the rest of your life. It's just the way that specific medication r...

Re: poop problems

Senna is what's in a lot of the over the counter laxatives. They call it Sennasides. It's a harsher laxative but it works.

Has she tried different levels of fiber and mucilage?

Re: Toothache

Good for you.

I've spent the last year fighting tooth and nail. It's been exhausting but I'm still kicking, too.

If I remember correctly - canker sores are viral. Do you have access to elder berries or usnea?

I think it's old sour puss. The other one is vinegar with egg shells but I've heard it's tastes awful.

Have you been doing any bone broths (with the cartilage)?

Gelatin can help with the nails breaking also.

How's your hair? I've found that nails and hair usually 'act up' together.

Re: Toothache

My Dad packs infected teeth/abcesses with cinnamon powder. Not everyone can take that.

I've had GREAT success with usnea tincture. If you have access to usnea you can heat process with vodka or Everclear (or any high alcohol content alcohol) until it turns orange.

Re: night terrors

Do you know what it is that he's dreaming about? When my daughter was little we watched a movie about a giant snake. Her night terrors started soon after. She would wake up screaming that the snake was going to eat her. Her aunt found a small garden snake in the back yard, brought it over and introd...

Re: Short or Long Ride with Perimenopause?

I went through surgicially induced menopause years ago. If you don't have a copy of SW's Menopause book - I cannot suggest it strongly enough.
