It doesn't have a flavor at all. It also isnt't harsh like everclear. The texture is nice too. I never liked vodka because of the texture. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else! I'm very sensitive to texture!

I think it is partly a matter of readjusting our sense of taste. The average American diet Abhors bitters, Any food that isn't sweet or salty is considered bland.

adaptogens

I have just enrolled in the adaptogen course. I am very excited about it. Berries, mushrooms, things that I love! I hope to be able to grow either in my garden or green house some of the ones that I am not yet familiar with. To me this is one of the magical blessings of the plant beings, that they w...

Re: Essential oil usage

I feel that they are being over used and used by many people for a "quick and easy fix" to a problem. I personally fine them to be more irritating than useful with a few exceptions. i do like a few drops of lavender and frankincense in my bath. I prefer infused oils.

Something about the younger top growth doesn't have the time to form the crystals. I don't remember exactly. This might be why I like it so m...

Re: everclear vs. vodka for making tinctures

I prefer brandy myself. although it is only 80 proof I find it is making very nice tinctures. One of my clients recently got a job at a local distillery and they make 100 proof moonshine. I've started using it and I like it very much!

Re: Arnica

I use Arnica oil in combination with Epsom salts. I find it a very potent combination. Epsom doesn't dissolve in oil though. I made an epsom/arnica ointment and it was difficult to get it to blend. It needs to be used on moistened skin.
