Help Yourself the Wise Woman Way]]> I am taking Wessiac, taking Siberian Ginseng 30 drops, Burdock and Yellow dock tincture additionally every day, herbal infusions for over a year already. I started J. Budwig's flax seed protocol and am waiting for her book to understand it better. Good effect already as my stomach burns have stopped. Violet poultices at night. Waiting for red clover oil for breast massage. My question: would it be too much, if I started poke root (tincture and breast massage oil) as well? I bought the ointment but it hurt, tingled and burned so I stopped. Not sure if that was a good sign or not. Thank you! Blessings!

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer center has a herb database and this is what it says about Shiitake:

I found this write-up about Shiitake very informative in that I learned that 'Black Mushrooms' are Shiitake and I learned that IF these mushrooms are exposed to sunlight while growing they will produce large/high amounts of Vit. D...just what the PNW crone needs!

I made the congee, need to maybe try again but add more vegetables...I dunno it wasn't very good, in fact I had a hard time chocking it down ...lol..I think I should have tasted my fresh ginger because it was perhaps a little old.
I used homemade Turkey bone stock and whole black peppercorns and a pinch of sea salt. Besides the ginger issue the flavor wasn't horrible but the texture was blech even when I added more stock!
